Hello everyone hope all is well in your world, the weather down here has been awesome and so has the fishing. We had a few repeat clients and lots of good catches. First up our friend Rogan from the state of Tennessee, we went after permit on the wrecks spawning, and let me tell you we hammered them, all catch and release of course! He caught a 28, 30, pounder and many that were smaller, we went 5 for 10 that day, the big fish came from our mate Dustin, a whopping 45 pounder, biggest damn perm you ever seen. The next repeat guy was my good friend Jeff from Penn. He has supported us a lot in the past, we had a couple of good days on the mutton snapper and yellow tails, but the mahi avoided are baits. I had a great weekend with the boys from northern Florida they caught 25 muttons to 15 pounds and 22 mahi to 20 pounds what a great bunch of people. This week I fished a local fishing club tournament and managed to take top honers, we hooked sailfish, mahi and mutton snapper to win out over 80 anglers. On another note I had the pleasure of meeting a young man that just got back from Afghanistan 3rd battalion 5th marines, he told me they lost a lot of guys! and how hard it was to be there, he was very thank full to me for acknowledging the war and the lose of our guys, he said that nobody even knows or cares about what there doing over there. He did tell me that the local people were very happy for the marines help and even some of them would say I LOVE YOU!! That would make any one proud to be there helping . So the point here is simple, remember there is a war going on and young guys are dying everyday for our country. OORAH!! Hey if your in south Florida and want to fish or just ride come see me and I’ll sharpen your hooks.Share

Hello everyone and happy mothers day to all you moms out there. My mom has been gone for some time now but not in memory, she was a very thoughtful generous person. I remember a trip to Rogers rock in up state New York, we were camping with family friends, LOTS of kids, mom loved them, and was very good with them. Someone bought sugar daddy’s for all of us, When little Bruce dropped his in the dirt he was a bit upset! mom picked him up in her lap, calmed him down and promised him a surprise, together they bury the pop in front of the fire and sent him to bed. The next morning when he awoke there it was, a sight to behold for a 5 year old! she took every chocolate kiss, Hershey bar, and any other sweet delight she could muster up and scotch taped it to a tree branch , stood it up on the sugar daddy site, you should have seen that smile, I don’t think he will ever forget that moment I certainly didn’t. On a fishing note, WHAT A WEEK!! I fished 7 trips and had a banner week, Dustin caught a 45+ permit, the state record on a rod and reel is 53lbs, we went 5 for 10 on them that day with a 30 and a 28 to add to the mix. The mutton snapper fishing has been great! I took a charter out night fishing and caught 25 fish up to 15 lbs, the same group the next day caught 20 mahi up to 20 lbs, what a week. Thanks to everyone for the great reviews on trip adviser I can’t tell you how well that works:) Thats it till next time, keep your hooks sharp and your lines tight.Share
